Volunteer for Wine Fest

We have a variety of volunteer job opportunities at Wine Fest before, during and after the event, as listed below. If you have enthusiasm by the bucketload, you're a people person with a can-do attitude, a sense of fun and a desire to give back to our community, then welcome aboard!

Types of Volunteer Jobs

Cashier – Ticket Sales & Silent Auction Sales

5:45pm - 10:30/11:00pm
Ticket Sales: Process ticket sales made with cash, check or credit card.
Requirements: Must be friendly, outgoing, able to count change and use a credit card machine.
Pre-Paid & Comp Ticket Check-In: There will be a list of all pre-paid and comp guests. As the guests arrive, you mark that on the master list.

Silent Auction Sales: Process silent auction payment with cash, check or credit card. The silent auction closes at 9:30. People will begin paying for their items shortly after that. You will process the sale and give them paperwork to claim their auction item/s.
Requirements: Must be friendly, outgoing, able to count change and use a credit card machine.

Breaks will be provided throughout the evening.

Auction Security

5:45pm - 10:30/11:00pm
Auction Security: Secure silent auction tables.
Auction Close Down: Distribute silent auction items to winning bidders with paid receipts. Clear silent auction tables at end of the evening.
Requirements: Be able to stand for extended time. Breaks included.

Silent Auction Set-Up

10:00am - 4:00pm
Create silent auction display. Heavy lifting is not required. Creativity is a plus.

Volunteer Check-In Table

5:30pm - 7:30pm
You will be at the volunteer check-in table to help check-in and direct volunteers to their positions.
You must be available at the end of the evening (10:00 p.m.) to collect volunteer ribbons and put supplies away.
Requirements: Ability to stand, friendly, general knowledge of the volunteer position duties.

Volunteer Information

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE AGED 21 OR OVER TO PARTICIPATE IN WINE FEST.

Volunteer dress code: Volunteers are asked to wear at least business casual attire.

Ballroom entry for volunteers: Please note that only volunteers who are "on duty" will be allowed in the ballroom during VIP entry from 6pm-7pm.

Breaks: All volunteers on shifts longer than 3 hours will be given a short break mid-way through their shift.

Volunteer check-in: Please check in at Volunteer Check-in table at least 15 minutes before your shift starts.

Volunteer registration: Click on the the Volunteer Registration button to register for a volunteer job. Please select the shift(s) that suit your schedule, and the job(s) for which you are physically capable.

Volunteer event enjoyment: This year Wine Fest will provide meals for volunteers in a specific room during the event. Volunteers are asked not to eat or drink in the ballroom before or during their shift. Volunteers who have finished their shift are welcome to enjoy the wine and food in the ballroom after turning in their volunteer ribbon.

Wristband Station

5:45pm - 8:00pm
Place appropriate wristband on guests after they've checked-in.

Wine Glass Table & Door Security

5:45pm - 9:00pm
Ensure guests have proper wristbands for both VIP and regular entry. Give wine glasses to guests. VIP entrance is 6:00 pm and General Admission entrance is 7:00. Neither group can enter before that.
Requirements: Must be friendly but assertive enough to keep unauthorized people out of ballroom.
